Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility to obtain) for speech-language pathology in California
- Previous experience within school settings, providing services to children in K-12, is strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt therapy to meet individual student needs
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and speech goals
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing input and progress updates as necessary
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with school and district policies
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to foster student success
- Offer guidance and resources for speech and language development in the classroom
