Job Description

About Us:

The Fox Moon Farm Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving children and adults with special needs and those struggling with trauma. Our mission is to provide a supportive community where individuals can develop essential life skills through hands-on interactions with horses, farm animals, and nature. We are expanding our services as we become certified as a Therapeutic Consultation Provider for Medicaid, accepting waivers for those with disabilities.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and patient Applied Behavior Analyst (ABA) or to join our team. This individual will work part-time initially, providing one-on-one and group support to multiple clients in a fun, interactive, and experiential manner. The goal will be to bring this person on full time as the DD Medicaid Waiver business grows and expands. The primary goal is to help clients develop life skills that promote happiness, confidence, and emotional well-being in a farm environment, working with our horses and other farm critters. Some of the clients will be Autistic (levels 2 & 3), so experience with these kiddos is important. BTW, no experience with horses is required :)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify behavioral needs and intervention goals. Analyze data to inform treatment planning and assess progress.
  • Intervention Planning: Develop and implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) based on assessment findings.
  • Develop and implement life skills programs that address anxiety reduction, anger management, emotional regulation, self-confidence building, and improvements in gross and fine motor skills, as well as cognitive abilities.
  • Training and Supervision: Train and supervise direct support staff and caregivers on implementing BIPs effectively. Provide guidance and support to parents and families to ensure consistency across environments.
  • Facilitate engaging activities with clients using horses and other farm animals on our 60 acre farm to foster experiential learning.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Maintain accurate records of client progress and behavior data. Adjust interventions based on data-driven decision-making to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Each session lasts one hour, booked weekly.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with educators, therapists, and medical professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to client care. Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss client progress and strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Special Education, Behavior Analysis, or a related field.
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required.
  • Previous experience in providing ABA services to individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficient in data analysis and technology used in ABA practice.
  • A loving, compassionate demeanor with the ability to connect with clients on an individual level.
  • Enjoyment of nature and animals, with a willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment and contribute to a supportive community.
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record are required for transportation duties.

Join us in creating a supportive environment where individuals can thrive! Your dedication will help foster independence, build confidence, and promote meaningful participation in everyday life. We value energetic professionals committed to making a positive impact through compassionate care and skilled support!

Additional Information:

No prior experience with horses is required; training will be provided. The position involves multiple one-hour sessions per week, with additional hours for preparation, reporting, and participation in meetings. We anticipate growth in this role to full-time as our programs expand.

If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of those who struggle and want to be part of a powerful mission, we invite you to apply to be a valued member of the Fox Moon Farm family.

How to Apply:

Interested candidates should submit a resume and a cover letter detailing their relevant experience and passion for working with the special needs community. Please send to Cindy at cfrei@foxmoonfarm.org.
