The role of Employee Experience Manager wears many hats, often simultaneously, that can be broken down into three parts:
Air Traffic Controller Youll be the go-to for many things, coordinating all the people, places and things to ensure our teams are operating smoothly and keeping things in order.
- New Employee Onboarding Meet with new hires on their first day, giving them the basics theyll need to know as a new Seakeeper employee, showing them the ropes and helping to set them up for success in their career.
- Hosting Visitors Act as the point of contact for visiting team members, helping to coordinate travel, meeting agendas, catering, and activities for team gatherings. Communicate visitor schedules to our internal team and support visitors as needed.
- Stocking the Office Ensure the offices have the supplies needed and our teams have all they need to succeedespecially coffee!
- Offboarding Gather feedback from employees exiting the company and put that feedback into action, continuing to improve our teams.
Pep Rally Leader Youll be the face of the company to our internal teams, rewarding them, cheering them on and celebrating their victories.
- Event Planner Take the lead in dreaming up & executing new events that give our teams the warm and fuzzies, including our remote teams.
- Recognition Lead our employee recognition program, the Seakeeper Standard Awards, and continue to evolve the program to be as engaging and effective as possible.
- Connecting the Dots Coordinate internal communications to be sure the whole team feels connected and in-the-know of the current happenings of Seakeeper. Create meaningful content for our onsite platform SeaNews and actively engage with our teams via our social platform Assembly.
- Celebrations Actively celebrate our teams by sending birthday and workiversary gifts, reminding our team how much we appreciate them.
- Listening Stategy Execute annual employee engagement survey, analyzing the results and develop small group feedback to hear directly from our teams about issues that matter most.
- Change Agent & Cultural Leader Effectively support and lead cultural transitions and facilitate the development of a working environment that consistently embodies Seakeepers mission. Set the example we want others to follow and help evolve our dynamic culture by holding others to the same standard.
Coach Youll be the trusted advisor of both our employees and our management teams. The one people go to with struggles theyre having either personal or professional knowing youll keep their confidences and provide a supportive sounding board. Youll hold people accountable and foster a healthy work culture that is performance based, helping our teams grow. Youll keep a pulse on employee morale and define ways to motivate and rally our teams.
- Development Lead implementation of our annual performance reviews, continuing to evolve our process to be the most effective for our teams as it can be. Develop or source content that will provide learning opportunities for our managers and thus further develop our teams.
- Confidant Be a trusted resource for both our teams and management to go to with struggles, both professional and personal. Help to guide them in their approach to situations and participate in finding solutions.
- Leader Lead by example, exemplifying the Seakeeper Standards in all you do!
- Connector Be the glue that ties Seakeeper employees together, as well as tying the Talent Acquisition and Benefits & Compliance teams together to ensure a cohesive, positive and engaging employee experience.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

MUST-HAVES
- 4+ years of experience in employee experience and engagement with a track record of employee retention and engagement
- Bachelors degree in a related field
- Passion for coaching, developing and teaching team members and hiring managers
- Have impeccable interpersonal skills, work well and connect with people at all levels
- Act with integrity, able to be approachable and relatable, while also doing what is right
- Empathetic and open, with a genuine passion for working with people and helping them succeed
- Be excited by a non-traditional organizational structure that separates the employee experience from the benefits and compliance side of traditional HR
- Excel in communicating including not just verbal and written communication skills, but also be a good listener
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion
NICE-TO-HAVES
- Experience in and with:
- Manufacturing organization
- The marine industry and/or an interest in boating
- Working with a staff comprised of a combination of hourly/salary, direct/indirect labor, and domestic/international teams
MORE DETAILS YOULL WANT TO KNOW
- Seakeepers approach to human resources is unique. In 2020, we broke apart HR, separating it into two distinct groups: Benefits & Compliance and People & Culture. The Employee Experience Manager lives within the People & Culture group, along with Talent Acquisition.
- Our goal is to create a thriving culture and ensure the employee experience is world-class from job description to exit interview all of the little touch points that make someone really love working for a company!
- Youll be based onsite in our Leesport, PA facility five days a week
- Up to 10% travel could be expected, largely between Seakeeper facilities and Seakeeper events to interact and engage with our staff
- Youll report to the VP of People, Culture & Brand, also based in PA
