Join our team as a warehouse worker in a large industrial hardware distribution center. You will engage in general warehouse duties across various departments such as inventory control, shipping, receiving, order filling, and stocking. Utilize RF scan guns, headsets, forklifts, and other equipment to ensure efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- In the SHIPPING department, start times are 8AM or 10AM. Responsibilities include sorting, scanning, and checking merchandise to ensure products are loaded onto the proper pallet or truck for delivery. Build pallets, stack items safely, wrap pallets, and load trucks using a pallet jack. You will handle larger items such as ladders and pipes and operate a handheld scanner. Certification in electric power jack and forklift is required. Frequent lifting and carrying of 0-70lbs is involved, with occasional lifting over 70lbs. The role requires a significant amount of twisting, bending, squatting, and reaching.
- In the RECEIVING department, start times are 3AM or 6AM. Unload incoming trucks and rebuild pallets by scanning and receiving inbound merchandise. Responsibilities include unloading containers by forklift, pallet jack, or by hand, breaking down pallets, sorting items by department, re-palletizing, wrapping, and preparing them for transport. You will verify pallet counts and the receiving label, operate a handheld scanner, and deliver scanned merchandise to appropriate staging areas. Constant lifting and carrying of 20-50lbs is involved, with occasional lifting over 50lbs, alongside constant bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
- In the STOCKING department, start times are 3:00AM, 4:50AM, 8AM, or 10AM. Responsibilities include moving merchandise to different points throughout the distribution center, placing products on appropriate shelves, and stocking inbound merchandise in designated locations. Heavier items are stocked using power equipment such as reach trucks, while smaller items in the 'Mod' are unpacked and placed onto shelves. You must be able to transfer merchandise using a stand-up reach truck, sit-down forklift, stock picker, and/or pallet jack. Frequent lifting and carrying of 20-50lbs is involved, with occasional lifting over 50lbs, alongside frequent bending and reaching, occasional twisting, crawling, climbing, and kneeling.
- As a REPACK ORDER FILLER, starting at 5AM, you will pick smaller items and fill totes. You will wear a headset that guides you to the item and quantity needed, working in a fast-paced environment with timed picking (24 seconds per item). Responsibilities include filling boxes/totes with products and placing them onto conveyor belts for shipping. You will pick merchandise by waves and label products according to item, customer, and quantity ordered. Frequent lifting of 0-50lbs+, occasional carrying of 20-50lbs, and frequent bending, twisting, and climbing are involved.
- In the FULL CASE ORDER FILLERS department, starting at 5AM, you will pick heavier merchandise and larger items using power equipment. Responsibilities include driving a stock picker, reach truck, or forklift with a trailer attached to manually pull cases off shelves and place them onto the trailer bed. Once full, you will take the trailer to a conveyor and unload items. Labeling products, identifying units of measure, and accounting for damaged merchandise are required. Constant lifting and carrying of 50-60lbs+ is involved, with constant bending, twisting, stooping, and reaching, and occasional climbing.
- In the INVENTORY CONTROL department, starting at 4:45AM, you will audit inventory and fill out reports with a focus on data entry. Responsibilities include auditing daily inventory reports, performing physical audits, investigating inventory-related inaccuracies, and resolving problems. You will prepare shipments for return to vendors, communicate with vendors and buyers, and provide customer service to resolve merchandise issues. Prepare defective merchandise for disposition, prepare manifests for salvage, and schedule pick-ups. Excellent data entry and computer skills are required, with experience in Microsoft Office and Excel spreadsheets, along with good math and reading skills. Constant lifting/carrying under 20lbs and occasional lifting/carrying of 20-50lbs are involved, alongside frequent bending and squatting, occasional twisting, kneeling, crawling, and climbing.
Essential Skills
- Experience in shipping and receiving, order picking, RF scanner, and order pulling is ideal.
- Power equipment, forklift, reach truck, and order picker experience is a huge plus.
- Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience in fast-paced or heavy labor jobs such as repack, stocking, material handling, inventory, forklift, packing, labeling, and loading.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous power equipment/forklift and scan gun experience preferred.

The warehouse is large, clean, and safety-oriented, with 150+ employees and multiple shifts. The environment is physical, fast-paced, and chaotic, requiring frequent twisting, bending, squatting, stooping, crawling, and climbing. Employees are expected to pass an OccMed Physical upon conversion.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
