Metta Vita Health is expanding its collaborative psychiatric care model through a partnership with Pearl Haven, a youth residential facility on Oahu. We are seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner PMHNP to provide onsite psychiatric care for youth in a structured residential setting.
This is a small but high-impact role that may be ideal for a PMHNP seeking meaningful moonlighting or supplemental clinical work. The PMHNP will be part of the MVH team while providing psychiatric services onsite at Pearl Haven, with opportunities to grow over time if desired.
At Metta Vita Health, we believe strong care starts with strong collaboration, clear communication, and respect for each youths full story. Our work is thoughtful, whole-person centered, and grounded in a team-based model of care.

- Conduct onsite psychiatric rounds at Pearl Haven, typically every other week or as clinically needed
- Review updates from the RN, therapists, residential staff, clinical team, and medical team
- Assess medication response, adherence, side effects, safety concerns, sleep, appetite, mood, anxiety, attention, behavior, and functioning
- Ask about how youth are doing in the milieu, including peer relationships, staff interactions, therapy engagement, current goals, and daily functioning
- Make thoughtful treatment recommendations and medication adjustments as clinically indicated
- Complete AIMS and/or EPS side-effect monitoring when clinically indicated, especially for youth prescribed antipsychotic medications
- Collaborate clearly and professionally with Pearl Haven and MVH team members
- Communicate with families/guardians when appropriate and within program workflow
- Complete timely documentation, care coordination, chart review, and clinically necessary communication during scheduled hours
Training and orientation will be provided on MVH and Pearl Haven workflows, documentation expectations, and care coordination processes.
