Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for an outpatient neurosurgery and neurology clinic in Charlotte, NC, with at least 2 years of experience and C-arm proficiency required.

Details

  • Outpatient neurosurgery and neurology clinic setting with multiple exam rooms, 1 x-ray room, and 1 injection room
  • Patient population includes both adults and pediatric patients presenting with spine and head conditions
  • Common imaging includes scoliosis series, shunt series, and cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine studies; outpatient injections performed — no sedation involved
  • Average of 60 imaging patients per day, approximately 30 of whom receive injections
  • Equipment includes Shimadzu x-ray and GE OEC C-arm; PACS system is Intellaspace
  • EMR is Epic
  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30/5:00 PM; no weekend rotation, no on-call
  • Facility is closed on holidays
  • Rare floating to other campus locations within the system; training provided for any unfamiliar procedures at those sites

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of Radiology Technologist experience
  • ARRT certification and BLS required
  • Active license required if applicable
  • Experience with spine, head, and pediatric imaging
  • Proficiency with C-arm required
  • Experience with Epic EMR
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient environment
  • Ability to perform general office and administrative tasks such as making CDs
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
  • Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
  • Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
  • Candidates who have worked a permanent position at an AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Typically staffed with 3 imaging technologists, supported by RNs, CNAs, front desk staff, and up to 10–12 providers
  • Approximately 1 week of orientation provided
  • Black scrubs required
  • Free employee parking available on campus
  • RTO requests are subject to manager approval
