Angels' Place, Inc. is nonprofit comprehensive family support program that provides no-pay child care and related services to single, low-income, full-time student parents and reduced-pay child care to working parents who qualify.
We are seeking a dynamic individual for the Development Director position. A successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate thorough knowledge and experience in nonprofit fundraising and development, providing support for the annual budget. The candidate must possess the ability to develop and implement a successful Fundraising Plan. Responsibilities include assisting the Executive Director in developing and maintaining strong community relations and support.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Research, design, and execute the organization's fundraising campaigns and special events.
- Evaluate, track, and report on fundraising outcomes; provide recommendations for improvement.
- Design and execute a robust Donor Recruitment and Retention Plan.
- Prepare and manage the annual fundraising plan budget.
- Maintain long-term relationships with key donors and prospects.
- Stay current on fundraising legislation, ethical practices, and trends; advise the Executive Director on new opportunities.
- Manage organizational branding and assist with marketing and public relations materials.
- Demonstrate strong project management skills and ensure timely project completion.
- Promote the organizational mission and commit to yearly professional development.
- Proficiently use MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); willingness to learn specialized fundraising software.
- Prioritize tasks independently to meet goals and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge and experience in nonprofit fundraising and development.
- Exemplary professional skills, analytical capabilities, and strong work ethics.
- High level of organization, flexibility, maturity, and proactive problem-solving ability.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
- Knowledge of financial, development, and grant-making practices.
- Energetic enthusiasm, positive attitude, and ability to foster positive relationships.
- Commitment to the organizational culture and mission.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- Requires regulatory clearances, health assessment, and TB test.
- Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Fundraising, Development, Management, Business Administration, or related field, plus relevant professional experience.
- OR Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Fundraising, Development, Management, Business Administration, or related field, plus a minimum of three years of experience in grant writing, development, and public relations.
- OR Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus a minimum of five years of experience in grant writing, development, and public relations.
- Experience in the Human Service field working with at-risk families or early childhood education is a plus.
- Obtain and maintain current Pennsylvania (PA) State Police, Child Abuse, NSOR and FBI clearances (along with out-of-state clearances if applicable).
- Must provide a completed Health Assessment and current Tuberculosis (TB) test result.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
