Mobile Equipment Shop Manager Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Shop Mobile Equipment Manager with extensive experience in heavy equipment maintenance and team management. This role involves overseeing the maintenance of various equipment, including excavators, haul trucks, trucks, forklifts, and mobile equipment from leading brands such as Caterpillar, Bobcat, Komatsu, and John Deere. The manager must be hands-on, providing mentorship and troubleshooting guidance to mechanics.

Mobile Equipment Shop Manager Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of mechanics, ensuring efficient maintenance and repair of heavy equipment.
Provide hands-on support in troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
Mentor mechanics, enhancing their troubleshooting skills and technical expertise.
Oversee maintenance schedules, inspections, and safety protocols.
Ensure compliance with company safety policies and regulatory standards.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and technical documentation.
Collaborate with senior management to optimize equipment performance.

Mobile Equipment Shop Manager Position Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and manage a large team.
Extensive experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
TWIC Card or eligibility to obtain one is required.
Ability to pass an in-person interview, medical examination, drug test, and background check.
Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
