Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 school in New Bern, NC is seeking a skilled School Psychologist for a contract position covering the current school year. This role offers flexibility with options to work virtually or onsite based on candidate preference.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students K-12 to identify learning needs and support requirements
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administration to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to support students social-emotional well-being
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to recommend appropriate accommodations and interventions
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Deliver professional development and training to school staff on topics related to student mental health and learning strategies
Desired Qualifications/Experience:
- Masters or Doctorate degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist applicable to North Carolina
- Experience working with school-age children in K-12 settings
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and counseling skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educational teams and families
- Flexibility to provide services virtually or onsite as required
