Now Hiring: Highway / Bridge Resident Engineer (PE Required)
Location: Central New Jersey
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Highway / Bridge Resident Engineer to join our growing team in Central New Jersey. This role offers the opportunity to oversee impactful transportation infrastructure projects and collaborate with a dynamic group of engineering professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the on-site Resident Engineer for highway and bridge construction projects
- Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and regulations
- Coordinate with contractors, inspectors, and project stakeholders
- Review shop drawings, RFIs, and change orders
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and quality control
- Prepare daily reports and maintain project documentation
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required (New York or ability to obtain)
- 8+ years of experience in highway and/or bridge construction inspection/management
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with construction management software and reporting tools
