The Role
Arcadia Settlements Company is looking for a self-starter to join our remote field team as a Case Manager. The Case Manager will be responsible for providing support to the field Consultant(s), marketing, client relations and assisting with data entry of case work. This person is eager to learn a new industry and its intricacies along with being flexible and adept at handling competing priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Quoting and preparing proposals for settlement.
- Provide leadership to lower-level Case Managers.
- Extract out relevant medical records to be sent to life companies for substandard ratings.
- Diaries in Resolver (case management system).
- Remain on standby for consultants, clients and judges during trial or mediations, provide immediate support, quotes, life company information and ratings as needed.
- Attends mediations, settlement conferences, board approvals and hearings in the absence of the managing Consultant.
- Provide comprehensive cost analysis of life care plans and economic loss reports.
- Marketing existing and new clients which includes regular email campaigns and follow-up on existing cases as well as inquiring about new cases.
- Maintain office reporting for consultant(s) which includes client specific case activity as well as overall office production and commission reporting.
- Advising consultants when necessary.
- Keep up to date on the state of the industry, maintaining a working knowledge of changes and potential changes regarding life company policies, tax laws, etc.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of different life company underwriting standards regarding attorney fees, single lump sums, non-personal injury, etc.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of client specific guidelines and adherence to their requirements.
- Maintains strong relationships with life insurance companies, co-broker offices and other vendors.
- General support as requested by the Consultant(s) and/or Senior Case Managers.
- Assist with special projects and other responsibilities as directed or as appropriate.

- Appropriate insurance licensing or desire to obtain certification

- Strong administrative and organizational skills

- In-depth knowledge of structured settlement annuity products, preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, and Excel preferred
- Experience working in the Structured Settlement, Financial Settlements, legal or insurance industry, preferred
Work Environment
- 40-hour work week.
- Must be available to work flexible hours as needed based on business needs.

- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components.
- Physical effort and activities include: Light physical effort is required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.
