We are excited to invite Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologists to become part of our expanding, hospital-based gastroenterology program in Athens, Georgia. This recruitment initiative aims to enhance our team to four physicians, driven by a significant demand from the community and a strong internal referral network.
Our practice provides immediate clinical opportunities, robust administrative support, and a long-term vision for growth, including facility expansions and future development of Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC). We welcome applications from both general gastroenterologists and those with advanced endoscopy training.
Position Highlights:
- Hospital-employed role in general or advanced gastroenterology
- Collaborate with a highly productive GI physician who is eager to mentor, along with one senior Advanced Practice Provider (APP); a second APP is expected to join soon
- Strong internal referral network ensuring no volume concerns for new physicians
- Over 2,500 referrals annually, with two rural facilities contributing to the Athens practice
- Preference for at least one advanced GI specialist, with an initial expectation of general GI work as advanced volume increases
- All procedures are conducted at the hospital's endoscopy center
Schedule & Workflow:
- Call is capped at a maximum of 1:5, with potential for improvement as the group expands
- Target model aims for a 4:1 ratio of endoscopy to clinic visits
- Focus on maximizing physician time spent in endoscopy

Compensation & Benefits Overview:
- Base salary starting at $600,000+, with potential for higher compensation for high-volume or experienced candidates
- Sign-on and relocation package, divided between the signing and start dates
- wRVU-based incentive structure with an upside-only model
