Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in leading our nursing department. The ADON plays a key leadership role in ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and promoting clinical excellence within our facility.
This position is ideal for a strong clinical leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional resident care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing and managing daily nursing operations
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
- Promote and maintain the highest standards of resident-centered care
- Support infection control oversight and regulatory readiness
- Plan, organize, and conduct staff training programs and clinical in-services
- Maintain effective communication across all levels of nursing staff
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet resident care needs
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives
- Oversee staff competency evaluations and implement corrective action plans when necessary
Qualifications
Required:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Jersey
Preferred:
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible nursing experience in a clinical setting
- Three (3) years of supervisory experience in a long-term care or sub-acute setting
- PCC certification
