POSITION: WAREHOUSE & METAL SHOP ASSOCIATE
OBJECTIVE:
As our Warehouse & Metal Shop Associate you will be responsible for delivery of customer orders, pickup of material from vendors, and helping out by processing orders in the warehouse, all while maintaining a high standard of customer service. If you are motivated to drive safely and deliver products to customers within deadlines, we can teach you the rest. We’ll train you in operating our machines and working with different metals. If you’re good with your hands and you’re motivated to learn, this is the right job for you!
You’ll be responsible for cutting, processing, and preparing metal orders, assisting customers in the shop, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This is a hands-on role requiring precision, attention to detail, and strong mechanical aptitude.
Your people skills and ability to meet deadlines makes customers feel important, validated and well-served. When you leave a customers’ place of business, the customer is confident with their order and satisfied knowing their experience with Metal Supermarkets was a positive one.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate a variety of metal shop equipment including band saws (manual and automatic), drills, shears, and other machinery

Accurately measure and cut metal using both standard (imperial) and metric systems

Load/unload materials and assist with order preparation and packaging

Perform basic shop maintenance and cleaning duties

Safely drive company or personal vehicle for deliveries (if applicable)

Provide friendly and professional customer service in-person and over the phone

Follow safety protocols and company attendance policies

Work both independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
WORKING @ METAL SUPERMARKETS:
POSITION: Permanent Full Time
HOURS: Regular business hours Monday to Friday
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills
• 2 years’ driving experience
• Valid Driver’s license, clean driving record and insurable
• Ability to accurately use measuring instruments – tape measures, dial calipers
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbally and written
• Physically able to frequently lift/move metal product weighing 50 -100 lbs
• Strong math and measurement skills (metric and imperial required)
• Proven ability to read tape measures, calipers, and blueprints is a plus
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Adherence to strict attendance and punctuality standards
• Comfortable operating saws, drills, shears, and other metal shop tools
• Welding or fabrication experience is a plus
