In this role, you will apply your analytical, technical, and collaborative abilities to build, implement, and manage a master production schedule that drives successful customer outcomes while optimizing company revenue and profitability. You will work closely with executive leadership, production, and sales teams to deliver meaningful wins for both our customers and our organization.
We are seeking an energetic, passionate, and dynamic Manufacturing Planning/Scheduler professional with a strong focus on leading and coordinating production schedules in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving all aspects of production planning, scheduling, and execution to ensure the successful delivery of products while meeting quality, cost, and timeline objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the master production schedule by reviewing incoming forecasts, assessing resource availability, and establishing prioritization frameworks.
- Maintain accurate standards that forecast production rates across multi‑step operations.
- Participate in daily production management meetings and provide timely updates on planning or production issues that may impact replenishment.
- Partner with Leadership to support SIOP and Supply Review processes.
- Work closely with functional leaders to plan, forecast, and continuously improve production workflows, incorporating regular input from operations on schedule feasibility.
- Allocate product families to optimize capacity, capabilities, cost, and overall responsiveness.
- Forecast material and labor requirements based on production schedules.
- Identify risks or conflicts within production plans and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate collaboration with Sales, Operations, and Finance on pre‑production planning priorities and incorporate results into the production schedule.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Supply Chain, and Production teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks or risks and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule adherence.
- Publish the master schedule on a regular cadence to executives, sales leadership, and production teams, including progress updates and key performance indicators.
- Support operations leaders in controlling production costs by identifying underutilized resources and potential areas of waste.
- Drive continuous improvement in asset utilization, processes, and scalability to support business growth.
- Track and reconcile weekly and monthly metrics to ensure high schedule optimization and delivery performance.
- Develop and manage production schedules that align with demand forecasts, capacity constraints, raw material and finished goods inventory requirements to ensure continuity of supply.
- Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as necessary to meet production targets and customer commitments.
- Prepare and deliver regular reports on production performance, including KPIs and variance analyses, to support data‑driven decision making.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes, streamline workflows, and increase operational efficiency.
- Maintain MRP master data parameters for established products and new product transfers to ensure accurate production signals (e.g., lead times, lot sizing, MTO/MTS status, MOQ, safety stock). Implement material master changes, product structures, and BOM updates to enable seamless product transitions into manufacturing.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in supply chain, engineering, operations management, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain (manufacturing planning/ scheduling preferred), with a strong focus on leading projects.
- APICS certified in Planning & Inventory Management preferred.
- Proficiency in ERP and MRP infrastructures.
- Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with a drive for continuous improvements.
- Ability to work independently, adapt to shifting priorities, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with quality processes and production metrics.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, & Outlook), PowerPoint.
- Ability to follow corporate, site, and regulatory policies.
- Role will require frequent movement across production areas and use of required PPE.
