Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for two full-time Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Newport News, VA. This position is ideal for licensed professionals holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in speech-language pathology, with experience or interest in pediatrics and school-based therapy.
Responsibilities include providing evaluation, treatment, and progress monitoring for students with speech, language, and communication disorders. Candidates will collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and implement evidence-based therapy strategies in compliance with school and state guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates considered
- Experience or interest in pediatric speech-language pathology and school settings
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to special education
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
