Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced paraprofessionals for a full-time Extended School Year (ESY) opportunity with school districts in the San Francisco area. This position offers the potential for renewal into the next school year based on performance and district needs.
Position Responsibilities:
* Provide instructional and behavioral support to students in classroom and school settings
* Assist teachers with classroom management and daily lesson activities
* Support students with academic tasks, social skills, and daily routines
* Implement accommodations and behavior intervention strategies as directed by school staff
* Work one-on-one or in small group settings with students
* Assist with documentation, data collection, and progress monitoring
* Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment
* Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
Qualifications and Requirements:
* High school diploma or GED required
* Associate degree, completion of 48 college semester units, or successful completion of a paraprofessional assessment may be required based on district guidelines
* Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
* Experience supporting students with special needs and/or behavioral needs preferred
* Ability to pass background check and drug screening requirements
* Fingerprinting and state clearance required prior to start
* Must meet all California state and local district paraprofessional requirements
* Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
