Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years MRI experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) professionals are needed to produce high-quality diagnostic images by operating advanced MRI technology in a scenic coastal setting. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a well-established critical access hospital known for comprehensive patient care and community commitment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certificate or diploma from an accredited MRI school or Associates degree in Radiology (required)
- Bachelors degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent (preferred)
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology (ARRT-R) or Magnetic Resonance (ARRT-MR) or certification from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (AMRIT) (required)
- State Radiologic Tech (RT) licensure (preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- Venipuncture IV certification (required in California)
- Fluoroscopy license (preferred in California)

Responsibilities:
- Operate MRI equipment to perform diagnostic procedures under limited radiologist supervision
- Generate and process high-resolution images for disease diagnosis and monitoring
- Administer and monitor contrast media safely following established protocols
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and maintain strict adherence to safety standards
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and communicate findings effectively
- Prepare patient care areas by providing instructions and obtaining necessary information
- Perform additional duties as assigned
