Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A leading elementary school in the Saint Johns, FL area is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to lead a self-contained Elementary ESE classroom. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to work with students of varying learning levels and exceptionalities, making a meaningful impact during the school year.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and instruct an Elementary self-contained ESE classroom
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and parents to support student growth
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and development
Qualifications:
- Active Florida certification in Special Education (ESE)
- Active Florida certification in General Education (K-6 or PK-3)
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in a self-contained special education setting is preferred
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Commitment to individualized, student-centered education
Location & Schedule:
- Position located in Saint Johns, Florida
- Full-time (35 hours per week; 7 hours per day)
- Contract duration: January 5, 2026 through May 28, 2026
