Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT), and 1+ year of Cath Lab experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A specialized opportunity is available for an experienced Imaging Cath Lab Technician to support advanced interventional radiology and cardiology procedures. This contract role is located in Lexington, NC, within a dynamic combo lab setting, focusing primarily (80%) on interventional radiology with additional cardiology and vascular cases.
Key responsibilities include assisting providers during diagnostic and interventional radiology and cardiology procedures, performing scrubbing and circulating duties, and supporting complex cardiac device implants such as pacemakers and ICDs. Medication administration is handled by RNs, allowing technicians to concentrate on critical technical functions. This role requires working with cutting-edge equipment including GE MAC Lab, Philips iFR/IVUS, Angio Jet, and other advanced systems.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience with a strong focus (90%) on interventional radiology
- Certification in ACLS, BCLS, and either ARRT or RCISP required
- Skills in scrubbing, circulating, telemetry, and EKG lead placement preferred
- Advanced certifications such as ARRT Advanced, RCES, or RCIS with medical experience are a plus
- Ability to work weekday and weekend call shifts with a 30-minute callback response time for urgent cases
- No float requirements; weekend coverage every third weekend
Schedule:
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM 4:00 PM
- On-call weekday evenings twice per month and one weekend call per month
- No holiday time off allowed
