We are seeking a Medical Assistant to become a part of our team! You will perform front and back office administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly. This is a great opportunity to work in a practice that has been serving the community for over 30 years with an amazing staff of professionals.
Hours for the position are 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Monday - Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Handle all administrative duties on time
- Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
- Take vital signs and draw blood when requested
- Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures
- Escort patients to exam rooms
Qualifications:
- PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AT LEAST 1 YEAR MEDICAL ASSISTANT EXPERIENCE
- Being a Certified Phlebotmist is preferred
- Familiarity with medical billing procedures
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Prior work experience with substance abuse is a plus
