Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Children's Footwear Designer at our design team in Carlstadt, NJ. The Children's Footwear Designer will be responsible for creating innovative and functional footwear designs tailored to kids. Responsibilities include designing products using technical drawings, developing mood boards and concepts, collaborating with product developers, and participating in all aspects of the product development lifecycle from ideation to final samples. The designer will also ensure alignment with market trends and brand guidelines.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Technical Drawing and Product Design for creative and detailed footwear concepts
- Experience with Industrial Design and the ability to develop functional and stylish footwear
- Knowledge and experience in creating Mood Boards and thematic concepts for design inspiration
- Skills in Product Development, including the ability to oversee designs from concept to production
- Strong understanding of footwear trends, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Fashion Design, or a related field
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams
- Previous experience in children's footwear design is a plus
