Zaker Family Vision is an established, second generation, family run medical optometric practice in Hickory Hills, IL. We love what we do and enjoy making a difference in people’s lives every day. We work hard to maintain a light-hearted and professional work environment. We are looking for 1 candidate who is upbeat, ambitious, positive, and an outgoing multitasker who is passionate about working with people. Past customer service and/or optical experience is appreciated, but not required. We provide extensive and ongoing on the job training for our staff. Polish speaking is a plus.
We are currently only open Monday-Thursday.
We are looking for 1 full to part-time optician. Pay commensurate with experience. Paid PTO, matching retirement plan, vision benefits, employee discounts and fun office staff outings.
Key Optician responsibilities include;
· Assisting patients with their frame selection
· Taking the appropriate measurements
· Billing the patient for services/materials
· Answering phones and scheduling appointments
· Verifying insurances and copays
· Filing insurance claims
· Creating optical orders of contact lenses and glasses in Officemate
· Inputting patient data in our computer system
· Checking boards regularly to make sure they are full and organized
· Checking accuracy of previous orders coming in
· Dispensing, adjusting and repairing frames as needed
· Educating patients on high quality products that fit their needs
· Trouble shooting any optical questions to help resolve patient issues
· General office organization and maintenance duties
· Assisting your coworkers
· Cross training on optometric technician pretesting.
