Special Education Attorney
Who We’re Looking For:
Newly admitted attorneys are encouraged to apply. While experience in special education law is helpful, it is not required. We are primarily seeking someone with a strong desire to support clients, a willingness to learn, and the ability to think critically and communicate effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent families in matters involving special education rights and services
- Advise clients on navigating the special education process, including IEPs, evaluations, and disputes with school districts
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, briefs, and correspondence
- Attend meetings, mediations, and hearings as needed
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and staff to develop case strategies
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Admission to the New York state bar (or pending admission)
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- A genuine interest in helping clients navigate their children’s special education needs
- Willingness to learn and grow within a specialized practice area

Compensation Range
$80,000 - $120,000 base salary plus bonus potential
