Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Sales Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in oil and gas processes with strong sales acumen to drive business growth. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs, propose tailored solutions, and build long-term relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the oil and gas industry.
  • Collaborate with clients to assess their technical requirements and recommend customized solutions from our service portfolio.
  • Provide technical and commercial expertise, and participate in meetings including customer visits and presentations, proposal clarification meetings, and project kick-off meetings.
  • Develop cost estimates, technical and commercial proposals, exception and clarification lists, and cost of compliance to customer specifications and provide proposal deliverables in time to meet customer needs.
  • Review of customer Request for Quotation (RFQ) package, commercial terms and conditions, and customer specifications and standards; and establish promise dates for the required deliverables.
  • Work with internal engineering and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, providing ongoing support and identifying upsell opportunities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to position Process Solutions as a market leader.
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to the company’s revenue growth objectives.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth.
  • Identify and qualify potential clients in the oil and gas industry who are seeking innovative solutions.
  • Promote and sell our products and services, highlighting their unique features and benefits.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to sales teams and customers, ensuring they understand the capabilities of our offerings.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and technical materials to prospective and existing clients.
  • Lead technical discussions and participate in responses to bids, proposals, and funding opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and problem-solver.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product development, and other departments to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Travel to client sites as needed to demonstrate products, attend meetings, and build relationships.

Objectives: (metrics)

  • Generate 40-50 new leads per month.
  • Make 50-100 outbound sales calls per day.
  • Increase quote requests and proposals by 50% per month.
  • Generate >$1.5MM in additional sales per year.
  • Develop SOP’s (standard operating procedures) for all sales processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical, or related field) or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales or business development within the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of oil and gas processes, equipment, and services.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.
  • Experience with oilfield services, process equipment, process optimization, and related technologies.
  • Cost estimate and proposal experience in oil and gas industries.
  • Familiarity with the oil and gas market and key players.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Knowledge of Combustion Technology in Burner and Flare applications.
  • EPC background in refining, petrochemical, oilfield, or gas processing.
  • Experience in sales, sales support, engineering, project management, process operations and technical service role within refining, petrochemical, oilfield, and gas processing industry.
  • Willingness to expand comfort zone to build skills in unfamiliar equipment offerings.
  • Proven ability to deliver on complex situations or problems without guidance or supervision.
  • Strong work ethic with demonstrated ability to meet customer deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation skills in both internal and external customer interactions.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed (up to 70%)
