Job Description

This role focuses on the electrical assembly of medium-voltage drives and electric transformers in a clean, modern manufacturing environment. You will work as part of a small team on bench assembly, typically completing work on a single large drive throughout your shift. The position involves reading work orders and, over time, using schematics and blueprints to perform precise electrical and mechanical assembly tasks with various hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical assembly of various drives and electric transformers according to work orders and production requirements.
  • Work on the medium-voltage line assembling large drives, typically focusing on one drive for the entirety of the shift.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently to complete assembly tasks.
  • Follow detailed work orders initially and progressively use blueprints and schematics as you are trained.
  • Carry out both electrical and mechanical assembly tasks, including wiring, component installation, and fastener assembly.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively within a team of 2–4 technicians to meet production goals and quality standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints or schematic diagrams to ensure accurate assembly and wiring once trained.
  • Perform basic soldering and electronic assembly tasks as required by specific product builds.
  • Inspect completed assemblies for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications, making adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with facility safety standards.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment such as steel-toe footwear and safety glasses.
  • Report any issues with tools, equipment, or assembly processes to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.

Essential Skills

  • At least 2+ years of mechanical or electrical assembly experience with the same employer.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to work confidently with tools and mechanical components.
  • Experience using hand and power tools in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
  • At least 1+ year of blueprint or schematic reading experience.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical diagrams or wiring diagrams.
  • Hands-on electrical assembly experience, including electrical wiring tasks.
  • Ability to perform mechanical assembly operations accurately and efficiently.
  • Capability to perform soldering and electronic assembly tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written work orders and technical documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a small team setting and communicate clearly with coworkers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with bench assembly work on large or complex equipment.
  • Experience working on medium-voltage or similar electrical equipment.
  • Comfort working on long, focused assembly tasks on a single product throughout the shift.
  • Demonstrated reliability and stability in previous roles, shown by consistent tenure with one employer.
  • Willingness to learn advanced schematic reading and more complex assembly processes over time.

Work Environment

This position is based in a clean, well-lit, brand-new manufacturing facility that serves as the U.S. headquarters. The weekend shift runs from 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Thursday through Sunday, with a schedule where you work 36 hours and receive pay for a full 40 hours. You will primarily perform bench assembly work on medium-voltage drives, typically focusing on one large drive for the duration of your shift, while working closely with a small team of 2–4 colleagues. The facility is in growth mode and plans to add a substantial number of jobs over the next several years, contributing to a stable and expanding workplace. You must wear steel-toe footwear and safety glasses in the production area, and you will use a range of hand and power tools as part of your daily tasks. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and high-quality manufacturing standards.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.27 - $20.07/hr.
