Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years CVOR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A registered nurse with specialized experience in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) procedures is needed for an engaging contract opportunity in Winston-Salem, NC. This position offers a dynamic schedule with three 12-hour shifts, including day and night coverage to support a busy surgical team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and operation of cardiovascular surgical procedures
- Monitor patient status pre-, intra-, and post-operatively to ensure optimal outcomes
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other OR staff to maintain a sterile and efficient environment
- Manage surgical instruments and equipment related to cardiovascular operations
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations
Schedule/Hours:
- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
- Day shifts: 10:00 AM 5:15 PM
- Night shift: 12:00 AM on call (NBO)
Desired Qualifications:
- Current RN licensure with CVOR specialization
- Proven experience in cardiovascular surgical nursing
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced OR setting
- Strong critical thinking and patient care skills
- Familiarity with sterile techniques and surgical protocols
