A full-time teaching opportunity is available for a general education teacher at the high school level in Chester, PA. This contract position spans a full semester, starting immediately and concluding on June 12, 2026. The role requires delivering quality instruction in an urban school setting with a focus on mastery of subject matter and effective classroom management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state and district educational standards, incorporating formative assessments and differentiated instruction.
- Demonstrate expertise in the subject area and utilize diverse instructional resources.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to foster a positive learning environment.
- Maintain familiarity with district policies and adapt to the schools culture.
- Complete all required Pennsylvania clearances and adhere to licensure requirements.
Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania teaching certification/licensure is required.
- Must hold at least a bachelor's degree to qualify for an emergency teaching permit if necessary.
- Previous school teaching experience, preferably in an urban setting.
- Strong skills in classroom and behavioral management.
- Comfort and readiness to engage with district standards and location expectations.
- Ability to participate in a Zoom interview as part of the selection process.
