Compensation Packages
Local Candidates (Hourly Pay): $50-$58
Travel Candidates (Weekly Take-Home Pay): $1668-$1924

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Job Duties

  • Conduct evaluations and provide therapy for students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on student needs

  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and other service providers to support student communication goals

  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary

  • Provide support and resources to staff and families on communication strategies

  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations

  • Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal requirements

Federal and State Requirements

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

  • Current Texas SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required (or CFY under supervision)

  • Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, FERPA, and other applicable education laws

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

  • Fingerprinting and background clearance as required by Texas school districts
