Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide expert perioperative nursing care in an acute surgical setting, focusing on orthopedic, vascular, and robotic surgeries. This role emphasizes comprehensive patient assessment, individualized care planning, and effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform direct patient care in the operating room with a focus on scrub nursing duties.
- Assess and coordinate individualized nursing care plans considering psychological, sociocultural, and lifestyle factors.
- Educate patients and families, facilitating understanding and smooth care transitions.
- Foster collaborative relationships with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff to optimize surgical outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with all nursing standards, protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current California RN licensure.
- BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic, vascular, or robotic surgery settings.
- Scrub experience required; Certified Nurse Operating Room Specialist (CNOR) preferred.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced surgical environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Schedule & Location:
- Four 10-hour day shifts per week, various start times (06:45 - 15:45).
- Weekends required.
