Job Description
Installs and maintains electrical and instrument equipment in compliance with all applicable rules and practices. Tests and repairs electrical and instrumentation systems used in production equipment to ensure performance standards and product quality are maintained. Evaluates systems to develop repair strategies and documents actions taken.
Responsibilities
- Plan and oversee activities within assigned areas in accordance with laws, regulations, standards, and procedures, emphasizing health, safety, and the environment
- Support collaboration between operations, engineering, and projects teams
- Review and contribute to control specifications and work practices
- Manage assigned electrical and control systems per the Work Management Manual
- Apply and follow work permits through the Permit To Work System (PTWS)
- Ensure timely and high-quality completion of work scheduled by the Maintenance Program
- Develop and maintain personal and team technical skills
- Participate in and provide technical instruction in meetings to ensure up-to-date knowledge on codes, technology, and procedures
- Maintain open communication on electrical and control issues
- Support work prioritization to increase team effectiveness
- Provide technical maintenance and troubleshooting support on instrument and electrical systems
- Generate and follow up on Management of Change requests (MOCs) related to electrical/control systems and installations
- Inspect and recommend improvements to new installations
- Serve as backup for the Instrument and Electrical Lead position as needed
Skills and Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in maintaining electrical systems and I&C in processing or offshore production facilities
- Preferred background in powerline maintenance (Lineman/Journeyman), with experience at 25KV and 125KV voltages
General Technical Skills
- Knowledge of regulations governing oil and gas facility operations
- Familiarity with OIMS systems, manuals, and procedures
Specific Technical Skills
- Completion of safety, administrative, and technical training per company-approved training roadmap
- Demonstrated competencies per Operations Integrity Critical competency requirements
- Proficient in computing and technical documentation
Position Details:
Pay Rate: $65/hr (W2)
Hitch: 7/7 or 8/6 - Night shift
Location: Midland, TX
Truck and tools provided
