Job Description:
The Sales Engineer works closely with account managers and clients to design, estimate, and present integrated audio-visual solutions. The Sales Engineer is responsible for understanding client needs/requirements and turning those into viable solutions. As a part of AV Solutions design team, your key objectives include providing accurate, direct answers and outcomes, minimizing distractions to our clients, and recognizing unfulfilled needs/wishes for our clients we can address.
Routine tasks include, but not limited to activities such as:
- Coordinating with sales team to understand client needs/requirements
- Creation of Proposals, Quotes, Bills of Materials (BOM), Labor estimates, and scope of work documents
- Conduct site visits, needs assessments, and discovery meetings with clients
- Develop conceptual system designs, including signal flow diagrams and equipment selections
- Support RFP responses and assist in bid preparation.
- Present technical solutions to clients in meetings and demonstrations.
- Collaborate with design engineers and project managers to ensure proposed solutions can be executed successfully
- Stay current with AV technologies, manufacturers, and industry standards (e.g., AVIXA)
- Identifying client needs and ways to improve AV Solutions products
- Reports directly to the Director of Technology

- Experience with Commercial AV Parts, Designs, Workflows and Technologies.

- Critical thinking skills and the ability to adapt to challenges.
Other Requirements/Information:
- Requires working-hour flexibility to work late and long hours as required by individual projects, and flexibility to work around occasional off-hour client needs.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
- AV Industry Certifications recommended (CTS, Crestron, QSC/QSYS, Shure, Biamp, etc.)
