Job Description

We are looking for a Dental assistant to join our Periodontics practice. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks to help dental procedures run smoothly, such as preparing patients for treatment, assisting the dentist during procedures, maintaining dental records, and sterilizing instruments.

Hours for the position are Monday - Thursday, 7:30 am - 5:30 pm.

Responsibilities

Assisting during periodontal and implant surgeries
Turning over rooms
Sterilize instruments and maintain the cleanliness of dental equipment
Record dental records and medical histories of patients
Take dental X-rays
Instruct patients on dental care and oral hygiene practices

Skills and Qualifications

A minimum of 2 years of clinical dental experience is required
X-Ray certification or willingness to become certified is required
Proficiency in using Dentrix and Dexis is a big plus!
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
Good manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.
