Dental Associates MN is currently hiring a Patient Care Coordinator to join the team at our BRAND-NEW OFFICE in Maple Grove, MN!


The Patient Care Coordinator performs a variety of tasks directly related to the scheduling of patient care. Each Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for a Doctor and Hygienist's schedule. The efficiency and productivity of the Dental team is directly related to the Patient Care Coordinators. The Patient Care Coordinator is the first impression of our Dental practice. Professionalism and friendliness are the utmost importance.

Requirements:

  • Answering phones is a primary responsibility of all Patient Care Coordinators. Phones should be answered promptly and professionally.
  • Scheduling Appointments for each Doctor and Hygienist
  • Verifying and updating billing and insurance information for each patient visit. Accuracy is essential to providing our patients accurate financial information for their Dental needs.
  • Checking in patients upon arrival for their Dental appointment, ensuring privacy, efficiency, and friendliness. Updating all necessary forms and scanning into the patient chart.
  • Coordinating the scheduling of interpreters and monitoring that professional interpreting services are provided to our patients.
  • Processing all incoming/outgoing requests in a timely manner including head-start forms, prescription requests, referrals, transferring of records, post-op calls, etc.
  • Processing patient payments. Ensuring accurate posting of payments to each provider.
  • Keeping a clean and organized work area and lobby.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a dental or medical front office preferred
  • Experience with public & commercial insurance plans is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, stay calm under pressure, and work independently
  • Proficiency with dental software systems (e.g., Dentrix, Open Dental, Eaglesoft) preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional dental admin training a bonus
