POSITION SUMMARY

The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the integrity of warehouse inventory. This role requires strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment.

POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inventory Control:
    • Gather and analyze data concerning the reconciliation of physical inventory, cycle counts, and shipping errors.
    • Conduct physical inventories
    • Investigate customer claims of overages/shortages
    • Review stock availability
    • Prioritize projects based on dates needed by
    • Update status reports
    • Manage schedules
    • Monitor emails/communicate with customers
    • Print labels
    • Work closely with Customer Service
    • Run weekly/monthly hold damage reports and reconcile.
    • Coordinate and control all product notifications, recalls, and mock recalls with Customer Service Manager.
  • Customer Service:
    • Respond to customer inquiries regarding inventory status
    • Investigate and resolve customer claims of overages/shortages
    • Investigate and resolve customer claims of incorrect receipts
  • Data Entry and Reporting:
    • Generate reports on inventory levels, discrepancies, and other key metrics.
    • Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions.
    • Clear communication on inventory findings and suggestions for improvement
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Adhere to all safety and security procedures.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
    • Comply with all relevant regulations and company policies.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Previous (WMS) Synapse experience strongly preferred. Radio Frequency (RF) or related experience is strongly preferred. Proficient in Microsoft office. Excellent organizational and analytical skills, prioritization and problem-solving skills essential.
  • Must be able to handle stress, fast paced, high volume environment. Must be able to shift priorities easily.
  • Special Requirements: Must have excellent work habits and pass any pre-employment tests, drug test and background check.
  • 1 year experience in an inventory control/stock accounting in a warehouse/distribution environment required
  • High School diploma required
