Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for experienced Occupational Therapists to provide early intervention services in preschool settings. This role involves delivering itinerant OT services across Carbon County and Lehigh County in Pennsylvania, with a primary focus on supporting children from preschool through 12th grade.
Location:
Schnecksville, PA (IU main office location; assignments may vary throughout Carbon and Lehigh Counties)
Responsibilities:
- Provide itinerant occupational therapy services to preschool-aged children in early intervention programs.
- Deliver support for children from PreK through 12th grade as caseloads may transition during the school year.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services and progress in compliance with state and agency guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing communication regarding student needs.
Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy license required.
- Current NBCOT certification.
- Valid Pennsylvania Public Professional Identification (PPID) number.
- Experience working in school-based occupational therapy settings, preferably with preschool early intervention.
- Ability to provide in-person services exclusively.
- Flexibility to serve children from ages PreK to 12th grade.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Schedule:
- 35 hours per week.
- Assignment starting as soon as possible through the 2026-27 school year (tentative).
- Early intervention services operate on a year-round calendar.
