Location: On-Site in New Hyde Park & Field Work

Pay: $26 - $45/hour (commensurate with experience)

Schedule: Full-Time. Monday - Friday. 7 AM - 3:30 PM. With overtime opportunities.

Power-Flo Technologies’ Pump and Motor Repair Shop in New Hyde Park, NY is seeking a Plumber Mechanic to join our team.

Plumber Mechanic Responsibilities Include:

• Repair and maintain pipe systems, drains, ducts and related fittings and fixtures for water, sewage and drainage in plumbing systems
• Detect faults in in plumbing appliances and systems and diagnoses their causes
• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the layout of water supply, waste disposal and material needed
• Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines
• Liaise with clients to determine their requirements and communicate defects or problems
• Provide routine inspections of equipment and inform clients of any issues
• Keep an accurate log of all work performed
• Adhere to company work safety policies
• Complete jobs both in our shop and at job sites
• Respond to work orders for troubleshooting, repair and feedback to Supervisor
• Mechanic will be responsible to make emergency repairs within area of knowledge and responsibility
  

Plumber Mechanic Qualifications:

• 5+ years’ experience in plumbing mechanics
• Knowledge of pump systems
• Ability to work both with a team and independently
• A valid and clean driver's license to operate company vehicles

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for up to 8 Hours
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to work on elevated platforms
• Ability to climb ladders
• This position may require standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching and/or reaching
• You may be exposed to dust, loud noises, and hot and cold conditions
• Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills may be required for hand tools, power tools, and other machinery
