Join our dynamic team as a Construction Technician, where you'll play a vital role in installing miscellaneous steel, egress components, and structural elements in commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise in fit-up, welding, and clean-up of steel handrails, guardrails, stairs, and custom steel components will be essential. You'll need to interpret construction drawings and blueprints and efficiently operate manlifts, forklifts, and small power tools such as grinders, core drills, and concrete hammer drills.
Responsibilities
- Install and fit-up miscellaneous steel, egress components, and structural components.
- Weld and clean-up steel handrails, guardrails, stairs, and custom components.
- Read and understand construction drawings and blueprints.
- Operate manlifts, forklifts, and small power tools safely.
- Assist in applying caulking to expansion joints and concrete seams.
- Mix and apply flowable grout to precast joints and steel column bases.
- Operate boom lifts and scissor lifts for loading and unloading materials.
Essential Skills
- 2 years of experience in structural MIG welding or precast concrete construction.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Willingness to travel 2-5 days each week.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in construction, welding, concrete, rebar, and stick welding.
- General labor and power tool operation skills.

Work Environment
Work within a collaborative team environment, traveling to job sites in the four-state area (Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, North Dakota) from Monday to Friday. Enjoy weekends at home with lodging and a $50 daily per diem for meals and incidentals provided. Safety is a priority, requiring hard hats, steel-toed boots, and safety vests at all times. Dress appropriately for weather conditions.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $53040.00 - $60320.00/yr.
