Job Description:

  • Performs accurate radiographic studies per protocols, ensuring correct exam, patient, and laterality, using proper exposure techniques, contrast flow rates, and safety measures.

  • Prepares exam rooms, ensuring equipment and supplies are ready, and coordinates with Technical Aides for efficient room turnover.

  • Collaborates with Board Runner to optimize patient flow in the IR Lab, minimizing wait times.

  • Verifies billing codes with Radiologist post-procedure for accurate hospital and professional fees.

  • Tracks and completes exams using Radiology Information System (RIS), Enterprise Radiology Solutions (ERS), and EMR.

  • Provides basic procedure information to patients/families and addresses their questions.

  • Maintains and cleans interventional radiology equipment, reports repair needs, and ensures supply levels.

  • Assists technical supervisor in updating lab policies, in-service training, and continuing education programs.

Qualifications:

  • Vocational/Technical Diploma from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.

  • Associate of Science in Radiologic Science

  • A minimum of 6 months hands-on training, and prior clinical experience.

  • ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) or ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology).

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)

  • Cardiac Interventional Certification in Vascular Interventional (VI), Cardiac-Interventional (CI), or CVT (Certified Vascular Technologist) must be obtained within 18 months of hire.

  • Current experience in interventional angiography preferred.

  • Monday-Friday
  • Either 6:30am-5:00pm OR 7:00am-5:30pm
  • 4x10s
  • No weekends! Rotating on call schedule
