Job Title: Mechatronics and Robotics Technician
Job Description
Join our team as a Mechatronics and Robotics Technician, where you will utilize your expertise to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems within the facility. Your role involves acting in a lead capacity, mentoring other technicians, and ensuring the efficient operation of automated packaging and distribution equipment.
Responsibilities
- Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
- Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more.
- Maintain a positive working relationship across the operations facility.
- Track and store department inventory efficiently.
- Move up to 49 lbs and stand or walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Essential Skills
- High school or equivalent diploma.
- Flexible schedule to work weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
- 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
- 4+ years of experience conducting quality predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
- 4+ years of experience in repairing material handling equipment or automated conveyor systems and controls.
- 4+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
- Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.
- 3+ years of experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE systems.
- 4+ years of experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with OEM and safety standards.
- 3+ years of experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working and coordinating with vendors.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Willingness to learn and grow.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders to coordinate complex maintenance activities.
- Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college focusing on the Mechanical or Electrical field.
- Experience in a team lead capacity, supporting and mentoring less experienced technicians.
- 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
- 2+ years of experience working with PLC-based control systems.
- 2+ years of experience with robotic operation and maintenance.
- Project Management experience.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sacramento, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $42.65 - $42.65/hr.
