School Psychologists are needed for assignments serving students aged 3 to 21, extending through the 2026-27 academic year. This multifaceted role allows you to help shape learning environments and foster student well-being, with both part-time and full-time schedules available (full-time strongly preferred).

In this collaborative school setting, your day-to-day responsibilities will adapt to the needs of your assigned building and students. You’ll perform essential assessments and evaluations, support IEP development and eligibility determinations, and provide individual or group counseling along with behavioral interventions. Your ability to work with teachers, administrators, families, and related service teams will be vital in designing and implementing student intervention plans. Additional duties may include consultation, data collection, progress monitoring, and crisis support.

Qualifications:

Master’s or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
Current Rhode Island School Psychologist certification (RIDE 5403)
Experience working across a range of age groups and needs is highly desirable
Skillful communicator, effective in team environments and advocacy for students
Adaptable and resourceful in a dynamic school environment

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct student evaluations and psychoeducational assessments
Participate in IEP meetings, supporting development and eligibility processes
Deliver counseling, behavioral support, and crisis intervention as needed
Consult with educators and families to design effective intervention plans
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate assessment records
Promote a positive, supportive learning environment for all
