Job DescriptionCan you read a print, pick the stock, and hit tenths?

If you answered yes—and you speak G-code on a Haas panel—you’ll fit right in at Dunaway. We’re looking for a machinist with strong fundamentals who can contribute immediately: interpret drawings, select raw material, and machine parts to print with minimal supervision. Familiarity with practices found on 2014-era platforms is important, and we’ll keep building your skills from there.

What you’ll take on

• Set up Haas mills/lathes and run parts to spec, verifying against GD&T requirements.
• Edit and run G-code; leverage conversational programming where it makes sense.
• Machine steel and flame-cut parts, applying high-speed inserts effectively.
• Operate manual vertical/horizontal boring mills and lathes to support CNC work.
• Perform in-process checks and final inspections before closing jobs.

Growth targets

• Independently set up, program, and machine parts to drawing specifications.
• Advance proficiency with G code and conversational programming.
• Deepen strategies for steel and flame‐cut work.
• Refine methods using high‐speed inserts for throughput and surface finish.
• Master print interpretation to ensure every requirement is met.
• Lead dimensional checks and quality sign-off before job completion.
• Expand versatility on manual equipment (vertical/horizontal boring mills, lathes, etc.).

Credentials we’re looking for

• Graduate of a formal machining training program.
• Up to 5 years of manual machining experience.
• Up to 3 years programming/operating on a Haas control panel.

Where and when you’ll work

• Climate-controlled, clean shop; exposure to moving mechanical parts.
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM.
• No mandatory overtime or weekends; OT available when possible.

Pay: Based on experience.
