Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. This role is responsible for handling all shipping, packaging, receiving, and inventory management functions to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and package products according to shipping requirements
- Ensure all shipments include correct documentation and labeling
- Coordinate outsourcing activities as directed
- Stage raw materials for production and store finished goods in designated areas
- Manage receiving, unloading, and inspection of incoming materials
- Maintain accurate inventory records and support cycle counts
- Drive and oversee routine maintenance of company vehicles
- Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment
- Perform additional warehouse and logistics duties as assigned
Qualifications -
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of recent warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to complete forklift certification/training
- Basic knowledge of inventory control, safety procedures, and ISO standards
- Ability to use general office equipment (computers, scanners, printers, etc.)
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Previous experience with inventory management systems or ERP software
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a warehouse/production environment
