Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position supports middle school students as a paraprofessional within a structured educational setting. The role requires dedication to fostering student success and working collaboratively with educators to support learning goals.
Location: Andover, MN (Northdale Middle School, 11301 Dogwood St NW, Minneapolis, MN 55448)
Duration: Contract role from February 17, 2026, to June 5, 2026
Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM (32.5 hours per week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teacher in delivering instructional support to middle school students
- Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support academic and behavioral goals
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teaching team
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Manage classroom resources and support organizational tasks
Qualifications:
- Must meet highly qualified status by one of the following:
- Pass the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam, or
- Hold at least 60 college credits with official transcripts (diplomas alone are not accepted)
- Previous experience working with middle school students preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and follow guidance from certified teachers

A transition to direct hire with the district may occur after 120 days of contracting.
