Location: Remote (preference candidates with a home office in Texas)
Are you a payroll-savvy professional who thrives on accuracy, auditing, and process improvement? We're looking for a Payroll Specialist who brings not just technical skills—but integrity, trust, and sharp critical thinking—to ensure our payroll operations are bulletproof.
In this critical role, you'll be the bridge between our people, policies, and our third-party payroll provider, auditing timecards, validating entries for sick time, holiday pay, and time-off, and making sure everything aligns with internal policies and compliance regulations.
What You’ll Do:

Audit timecards and payroll reports for accuracy and completeness

Validate entries for PTO, sick leave, floating holidays, and FMLA

Partner with managers to resolve timesheet discrepancies

Ensure deductions, hours, and employee data align with internal policy and legal requirements

Be a trusted point of contact for employee payroll questions and sensitive issues

Support audits, reconciliations, and internal reporting
What You Bring:

A meticulous eye for detail—you catch errors before they happen

Experience auditing payroll or timecards for 500+ employees

Familiarity with tools like ADP, JD Edwards, or similar systems

Understanding of federal and state labor/payroll regulations

Excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a service-oriented mindset
