Job Title : ESI Benefit Educator

Location : Portland, Salem

Duration : 6+ Months Contract (Strong possibility of extension)

Schedule : On Demand Role

Language : English

Note:

No guaranteed hours - this position is on an as-needed basis.

This position requires driving responsibilities.

Candidates must live within a 80-120 mile radius of the location and be able and willing to commute within that radius.

Candidates must have their own form of reliable transportation.

Summary

Benefit Educator will work as a trusted and knowledgeable representative of Express Scripts at a client’s location for their benefit fair.

As such, the benefit educator will be responsible for providing a high-level overview of member plans, answering questions according to the training received.

The benefit educator will also be responsible for confidently and professionally servicing the members, client and other key relationships of Express Scripts during the event.

Duties

Individual must attend an annual training provided by Express Scripts to learn more about the industry, the organization and the role the individual will play when attending the benefit fair

Individual must also attend a 1 (one) hour training with the account team at least 48 hours prior to the client’s benefit fair. During this training, the individual will learn more about the client, the plan, and key talking points to discuss at the event.

Professional attire and demeanor is required

Expected to proactively greet and assist attendees as they visit the booth

Distribute flyers and other product or promotional information

Complete the health fair questionnaire emailed to them after the fair

Must live local to the geographic area - Will need to be willing to travel within the geographic market to cover events

Must have reliable transportation

Willing to work on an “as-needed” basis (including occasional last-minute requests)

Skills

Strong communication skills to professionally and knowledgably interact with people regarding their pharmacy benefit.

Individual should be able to confidently speak in front of small groups and have sales ability.

Comfortable asking probing questions to identify needs and expectations of people at the fair site.

Previous industry experience with health benefits is preferred, not required


Education

High School Diploma or GED required
