A professional opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist with expertise in sterile compounding. This role focuses on IV medication preparation within a closed-door Long-Term Care (LTC) facility. The position offers a contract-to-hire pathway, ideal for a skilled pharmacist seeking a stable and engaging work environment.
Location:
- Foxboro, MA
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, day shift
- Rotating weekends as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare sterile intravenous (IV) medications and parenteral nutrition solutions in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Conduct thorough medication order reviews to ensure safety, accuracy, and individual patient needs.
- Perform routine quality assurance checks to uphold aseptic techniques and prevent contamination.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to monitor drug interactions, adverse effects, and therapeutic outcomes for patient safety.
- Maintain detailed documentation for all compounding activities and patient medication profiles.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Massachusetts Pharmacist license (clear and unrestricted)
- Proven experience in sterile compounding, specifically IV medications
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a high-volume setting (approximately 600 prescriptions per day)
- Familiarity with pharmacy software frameworks; training will be provided if needed
