Join our team as a Welder, where you will work with steel and galvanized metal using blueprints and fixtures to create high-quality products. You will be responsible for setting up and operating welding equipment safely and productively while ensuring excellent workmanship.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate welders to hand weld products in a safe, efficient, and ergonomic manner.
  • Adjust welders as needed to maintain part quality.
  • Set your own machine for materials welded, producing little smoke or splatter.
  • Consistently produce acceptable-quality welds with minimal rejects.
  • Complete work to print requirements and read and understand prints and symbols.
  • Manufacture products to specifications without a fixture using a weld table, prints, tape measure, protractor, and clamps.
  • Professionally communicate production issues and seek clarification and resolution from front line employees and management.
  • Perform tasks safely, including wearing safety glasses and gloves as described in JHA requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • MIG welding experience.
  • Proficient in welding galvanized steel, carbon steel, and stainless steel.
  • Ability to read a tape measure in fractions and decimals.
  • Review and interpret symbols, part numbers, tolerance, and weld placements on blueprints.
  • Work independently to complete work to print requirements.
  • Apply basic math to determine dimensions needed.

Work Environment

The work environment is non-climate controlled and can be loud. Employees must be prepared to work in these conditions.

This is a Contract position based out of Saint Charles, Missouri

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.84 - $24.45/hr.
