Support students in a meaningful way with a dynamic role as an Instructional Aide providing one-on-one assistance in classroom settings. Position Responsibilities:
- Support students academically, behaviorally, and socially within the classroom
- Provide individualized or small-group assistance under teacher and staff guidance
- Assist with daily routines, transitions, and active classroom participation
- Implement behavior support plans and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) when applicable
- Aid with mobility, supervision, and personal care needs
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
Minimum Requirements (School Compliance):
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years old
- Up-to-date TB test as required by district policies
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when necessary
- Current clearances or willingness to obtain them prior to start
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
- Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- Training or certification in CPI, PMT, or RBT is advantageous but not required
- Reliable, patient, and collaborative team player
