BE&SCO Manufacturing designs and builds industry-leading tortilla, flatbread, and bakery equipment. We are seeking an experienced CAD Drafter to support the Engineering department by producing accurate technical drawings for manufacturing and production.
Job Summary
The CAD Drafter is responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings used for equipment fabrication and assembly. This role works closely with Engineers and Manufacturing to translate engineering concepts into precise drawings that support production, revisions, and continuous improvement efforts. The position focuses on drafting execution rather than engineering design authority.
What You’ll Do
Drafting & Documentation

Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings based on engineering specifications

Revise drawings and models as directed by Engineering

Maintain drawing accuracy, revision control, and documentation standards

Prepare layouts, assembly drawings, and component drawings

Generate renderings for internal and customer use when requested
Engineering Support

Work with Engineers to incorporate design changes and updates

Assist in implementing ECNs and revision control processes

Participate in design review meetings as needed

Provide drafting support for new product development and improvements
Data Management

Maintain organized CAD file structures and drawing databases

Support PDM processes and electronic workflow systems

Ensure drawings are current and properly archived
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

Coordinate with Manufacturing to resolve drawing discrepancies

Assist in researching materials and specifications as requested

Support special projects assigned by Engineering leadership
Requirements
-
3–5+ years of CAD drafting experience

Associate degree in CAD Technology, Drafting, or related field preferred

Proficiency in SolidWorks, Autodesk, or similar CAD software
-
Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and manufacturing processes

Knowledge of revision control and drawing standards

Basic understanding of material properties

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities

Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Schedule
Monday through Friday
8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Physical Requirements

Ability to sit for extended periods during an 8-hour workday

Frequent computer and CAD workstation use

Ability to concentrate on detailed technical tasks

Ability to interpret technical data and specifications
Work Environment

Primarily office-based

Occasional presence on the manufacturing floor

Exposure to moderate to high noise levels while on production floor
